A Tailgate Pad is a Status Symbol

The rise of the Tailgate Pad as a means to transport your mountain bike has been swift. In the early days only Freeriders used them, and you could recognize one another on the road by the Dakine pad on your trucks. Now we have several companies making them and riders from all genres using them. It's high time that the company who started it all, Dakine, set the bar higher. Check out the print on the new Tailgate pad:
It looks like a Mexican blanket and blows doors on the standard issue black. Some have called it the Drug Rug print. The new pad has tie downs for the frame downtube to keep your bike upright on rough roads and a new soft felt liner to keep scratching on your rig minimal.
