Why Did I Call It Super Duper D?

Enduro Racing, Super-D, Megavalanche... All emerging disciplines. Ask any participant, they'll tell you whatever they signed up for is THE BEST form of MTB. I can honestly say, I've been Mountain Biking since the 80's and there's NO WRONG WAY to do it. Simply Mountain Biking is pleasurable, so the debate is unnecessary. So when I had the chance to dream up my own event on the local Ski Resort in Sun Valley (Mt Baldy) it happened naturally; It's a Super Duper D. Check it:

Why did Super D become popular before USAC started making rules for it? Because there were no rules! It was a lift assisted descent not quite a gnar as the DH course but fun for all types of riders. You use a "Trail" bike, not some freaky 19 pounder that would has no negative travel and no fun. Because we could go to the top of Baldy choosing the course was easy. Pick the funnest way down. Will it have a climb? Yes, not a serious one, but 1/3 of the way down you climb a few hundred feet and it will hurt, but then you rip/shred all the way to Warm Springs where beer is flowing and people are bullshitting about their.
