Winning isn't everything, but it feels great

As a matter of fact, you don't even have to be the one crossing the line first to feel the exhilaration. I know from my years of wrenching on Pro's bikes that all of the teamwork that goes into preparation makes you personally involved in the race, however from the sidelines.

Anyways, it's been an emotional ride for Cavendish. The kid is so completely different than when he wrote Boy Racer that he isn't even the guy in the book anymore. First the failed dental work in a 3rd world country, then the break up with his fiance and finally his inability to find his previous form that propelled him to six stage wins in the 2009 TdF.

Well, it's great to see he is back, and these wins will for sure boost his confidence. And somehow when he wins, I feel like I win in a small way for being part of it all.

  1. Monty, Good to see you are gaining an appreciation for people riding curly bar bikes in their underwear.
